Alright, folks, let’s talk about some cool stuff I messed around with this week – electronic gadgets for big dogs. I’ve got a big boy, a real gentle giant, and I’m always looking for ways to make his life better and, honestly, to keep an eye on him when I’m not home.

Getting Started
So, I started where everyone starts – the internet. I googled all sorts of things about “gadgets for big dogs.” I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for, just something to make my buddy’s life a bit more interesting, maybe help with some training, too. I stumbled upon a bunch of stuff, some of it kinda useless, but there were a couple of things that caught my eye.
The Camera
First up, a dog camera. Now, I’ve seen these before, but this one, called the “Furbo 360,” seemed pretty neat. It’s a camera that lets you see your dog, talk to them, and even toss them treats, all from your phone. I thought, “Okay, this could be fun.” I always worry about my big guy when I leave him home alone, so being able to check in on him sounded great.
I ordered one online, and it arrived a few days later. It was pretty easy to set up. You just plug it in, download the app, and connect it to your Wi-Fi. The app was a breeze to use. I could see my dog, and the picture quality was actually really good. The best part? I could talk to him through the camera’s speaker, and he totally responded! He’d tilt his head and come running over when he heard my voice. It was pretty awesome.
Treat Time
The treat-tossing feature is hilarious. You just load up the Furbo with your dog’s favorite treats, and then you can launch them across the room with the app. My dog went nuts for it! He’d chase the treats around, and it was a great way to keep him entertained while I was at work. I could even set it to automatically toss treats at certain times, which was pretty cool.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first, but this dog camera is actually a pretty sweet gadget. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can check on my dog, and it’s a fun way to interact with him when I’m not there. Plus, the treat-tossing feature is just pure entertainment.
This was just one thing I tried, but it got me thinking about other gadgets that could be helpful. I’m thinking about maybe trying out one of those automatic feeders next. If any of you have recommendations for cool gadgets for big dogs, let me know!
