Hey everyone! So, I got this idea to make some peanut butter cups for my furry friend, Max. I mean, who doesn’t love peanut butter, right? Even dogs go crazy for it! Let me tell you, it was quite the adventure.

First off, I gathered all the stuff I needed. It was pretty basic – just some peanut butter (make sure it’s the kind without xylitol, that stuff’s bad news for pups), some dog-friendly chocolate (yep, they make that!), and some cupcake liners. I used about 6 cupcake liners.
- Peanut butter (xylitol-free)
- Dog-friendly chocolate
- Cupcake liners
Then, I melted the doggy chocolate. I just used the microwave, doing short bursts and stirring in between. Gotta be careful not to burn it. Once it was all smooth and melty, I poured a little into the bottom of each cupcake liner and popped them in the freezer to harden up. Took, like, 10 minutes, maybe?
Next up, the peanut butter. I scooped a dollop of peanut butter on top of that now-hard chocolate layer in each liner. Max was watching me like a hawk, tail wagging like crazy. He knew something good was coming, even tried to swipe a lick!
After that, I melted some more of that doggy chocolate and poured it over the peanut butter, making sure it covered it all up. Back into the freezer they went, this time for a bit longer, about 20 minutes. I guess it depends on how cold your freezer is.
Once those were nice and solid, I peeled off the cupcake liners, and there they were – homemade peanut butter cups for my best boy, Max! He absolutely devoured them. I think I made his week!
This recipe made about 6 treats, which is perfect for Max. You can totally double the recipe if you’ve got more dogs or want to make a bigger batch. These crunchy cups are packed with protein and healthy fats.
It was a fun little project, and seeing Max enjoy the treats made it all worth it. Just remember to use dog-safe ingredients and keep these as special treats, not an everyday thing. Alright, that’s my little kitchen story for today. Hope you guys try it out and let me know what your pups think!
