I tell you what, these welcome mats with dogs, they sure are something. You know, I seen a lot of things in my time, but these mats, they got all kinds of dogs on ’em. Big dogs, little dogs, fluffy dogs, even them ones with the short little legs.

Dog Welcome Mats
These mats, they ain’t just for show, neither. My neighbor, she got one with a picture of a dog that look just like her old mutt, Buster. It made me chuckle every time I saw it. But more than that, you can put them by your front door, and they keep the dirt and mud out of your house. No more tracking in all that mess from outside. It’s good, you know, save you a lot of cleanin’. Especially if you got them dogs runnin’ in and out all day.
And let me tell you, they got all kinds. Some of ’em are just plain, with a dog picture on ’em. But others, they got funny sayings. Like, “Wipe Your Paws” or “Hope You Like Dogs.” It’s kinda cute, ain’t it? And they even have welcome door mats that are personalized. They can put your dog’s name on them! Ain’t that a hoot?
Different Kinds of Welcome Mats
Now, these dog welcome mats, they come in different materials, too. Some of ’em are made of that tough, scratchy stuff. They call it coir or something. Good for scrapin’ off the mud, I reckon. Then there’s others, they’re softer, made of that fluffy stuff. They say it’s good for soakin’ up water. These soft ones, they’re good for inside, I think. Don’t want that scratchy stuff on your bare feet, do ya?
- Tough, scratchy ones for outside
- Soft, fluffy ones for inside
- Some made of cotton, good for catching water
And these welcome mats ain’t just for your front door either. Some folks put them by their back door, or even inside, near where their dogs eat. Keeps things tidy, I guess. You can put ’em wherever you want, really. Wherever them dogs are makin’ a mess!
If you got a dog, or if you just like dogs, these mats are a good thing to have. They’re useful, they look nice, and they can even make you smile. I got one myself, with a picture of a golden retriever on it. Reminds me of my old dog, Goldie. She was a good girl.
How to Keep Them Mats Clean
Now, you gotta keep these welcome mats with dogs clean, too, you know. They get all dirty with mud and dog hair. But it ain’t too hard. For them tough ones, you can just take ’em outside and shake ’em out. Or beat ’em against something. Gets all the dirt out. For them soft ones, you might have to wash ’em. Some can even go in that washing machine, if you got one.
But if you got a real stubborn stain, like if your dog done its business on it. Well, I heard you can use that baking soda stuff. Sprinkle it on, let it sit a bit. Then you pour some of that white vinegar on it. Mix the vinegar with water first, they say. Then you just let it sit some more, and it should take care of the smell. Ain’t that somethin’?
Another thing, you gotta put these mats in the right place. Most folks put ’em right outside their front door. That way, people can wipe their feet before they come in. But if you got room, maybe put one outside and one inside. That way, you catch even more dirt. Keeps your house real clean.
Where to Get These Dog Mats
You can find these dog welcome mats all over the place, I reckon. They got ’em at them big stores, and even online. You can even get them custom made, with your dog’s picture on it. Ain’t that fancy? I seen some folks get them as gifts, too. For a housewarming, or for someone who just got a new dog. It’s a nice thought, ain’t it?
Well, I reckon that’s about all I know about these welcome mats with dogs. They’re pretty neat, I gotta say. And they sure beat havin’ a dirty floor. If you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ one, I say go for it. You won’t regret it. Just remember to keep it clean, and you’ll be good to go!
