My grandson, he always tells me, “Get some toys for bulldogs, grandma!” That boy, he sure loves his bulldog. Big, slobbery thing, but cute, I guess. So, I went to that internet, typed in “toys for bulldogs.” Lord, so many things popped up. Who knew there were so many toys for bulldogs?

This one toy, it’s called, uh, “Zogoflex Qwizl” something. Sounds fancy, huh? They say it’s like five toys in one. Five toys! Back in my day, we just gave the dog an old shoe. But this thing, it looks tough. Maybe good for them bulldogs, always chewing everything up. Bulldogs need tough toys, that’s for sure. They say it can keep that dog busy, too. That’s good, keeps him from chewing on my slippers.
Them bulldogs, they like to chew. So you gotta get ’em something they can really sink their teeth into. Like those, uh, what do they call ’em? “Puzzle toys.” You put little treats inside, and the dog, he’s gotta figure out how to get ’em out. Keeps ’em busy, I reckon. There’s one called a “Buster Cube,” and another one, “Busy Buddy.” Sounds like a couple of fellas I used to know down by the creek.
And then there’s something called a “Kong Wobble.” Looks like a big, red egg or something. I guess you put food in there, too. These toys for bulldogs are something else, I tell ya. In my day, we didn’t have all these fancy things. We just gave ’em a stick or an old bone. But times are changing, I guess, and need some good toys for bulldogs.
They also got these things called “rope toys.” Just a bunch of rope tied together. Looks like something you’d tie up a boat with. But the dogs, they seem to like ’em. They can chew on ’em, play tug-of-war. My grandson, he plays tug-of-war with his bulldog all the time. That dog, he’s strong, let me tell you! He’d pull the dentures right out of your mouth if you ain’t careful.
And for the little baby bulldogs, the puppies, they got soft toys. Like little stuffed animals. I saw one that looked like a little pig. Cute, I guess. They say these toys are good for the puppies ’cause they’re, uh, what’s the word? “Comforting.” Like a mama dog, I suppose. Makes sense. Even bulldog puppies need some comfort. They are just little babies, after all. So, soft toys are a good choice of toys for bulldogs.
- Stuffed animals are good toys for bulldogs when they are puppy.
- Rope toys are good for playing.
- Puzzle toys can keep them busy.
Now, my grandson, he likes to take his bulldog to the lake. That dog, he loves the water. He’ll jump right in, splashing around like a fool. So, they got these toys that float. Like tennis balls. Everybody’s got tennis balls, right? Just throw it in the water, and the dog, he’ll go fetch it. Good exercise for ’em, I reckon. They say you can use those “Kong” things, too. Those are those rubber things I was talking about earlier. They float, too, apparently. So many toys for bulldogs you can use in water.
But you gotta be careful, though. Don’t let ’em go out too far in the water. Especially them bulldogs. They ain’t the best swimmers, you know. Short little legs. They tire out easy. So, you gotta keep an eye on ’em. Throw the ball close to the shore, where they can reach it easy. Safety first, that’s what I always say. Even when it comes to toys for bulldogs.
Choosing the right size toys for bulldogs is important, you see. Can’t give a little puppy a big ol’ bone. He’ll choke on it! And you can’t give a big ol’ bulldog a tiny little squeaky toy. He’ll swallow it whole! So, you gotta use your common sense. Big dogs, big toys. Little dogs, little toys. It ain’t rocket science, people. That’s the key to choose the best toys for bulldogs.
And another thing you gotta watch out for is them cheap toys. They fall apart easy. The dog, he’ll chew ’em up in no time, and then you gotta buy another one. It’s a waste of money, I tell ya. Better to spend a little more and get something that’s gonna last. Something tough, like them bulldogs themselves. That’s why people like them “Kong” toys. They are good toys for bulldogs, and they last a long time, my grandson says.
There’s a whole bunch of different toys for bulldogs out there. You got your chew toys, your fetch toys, your puzzle toys, your squeaky toys. It’s enough to make your head spin! But the important thing is to find something that your dog likes, something that’s safe, and something that’s gonna keep him entertained. A bored dog is a naughty dog, that’s what I always say. And nobody wants a naughty bulldog, especially not me!

So, if you got yourself a bulldog, do yourself a favor and get him some good toys. It will keep them busy. It’ll keep him happy. And it’ll keep him from chewing up your furniture! And who knows, maybe you’ll even have a little fun yourself playing with him. Just watch out for that slobber! And don’t let him pull your dentures out.
