Okay, so, I decided to get a new toy for my furry friend, and I thought, why not try one of those squeaky monkey toys? I mean, who can resist a monkey, right? Plus, the squeaking sound always gets my dog’s tail wagging like crazy. So, I went on a little mission to find the perfect one.

First, I hit up a few local pet stores. I saw a couple of options, but nothing really caught my eye. Some were too small, some too big, and others just looked like they’d be ripped to shreds in minutes. I really wanted something durable and safe, you know? My dog can be a bit of a heavy chewer, especially when he’s excited.
After that, I figured I’d try my luck online. I spent a good chunk of time scrolling through pages and pages of monkey toys. I started to compare prices, some were dirt cheap, like $6.99 for a “SQXMRQ Dog Toy, Monkey Plush” thing. Others were pricier, like the “TUFFY – World’s Tuffest Soft Dog Toy – Zoo Junior Monkey” for $21.99. It claimed to be “Made Durable, Strong Tough,” which sounded promising, but also a bit gimmicky, maybe.
I also checked out a “Best Pet Supplies 2-in-1 Fun Skin Stuffless Squeaky Dog Toys – Cow, Monkey” I read some reviews, and people seemed to like it, mentioning the “tough and rugged fabric outer layer with a strong mesh fused lining”. Some said it was a good choice for aggressive chewers. There was this “ZippyPaws – Spencer The Crinkle Monkey” that came up a lot, but the price was all over the place, anywhere from $7.99 to $13.99. KONG had one called “Cozie Funky Monkey,” which looked alright.
Honestly, I was getting a bit overwhelmed with all the choices. But then I found some comments mentioning the “Kong Tires Dog Toy” as a good choice. They said it was made of durable rubber and could be stuffed with treats, which I thought was cool.
I’m not gonna lie, all this made me think about those stories of toys made with toxic materials. It’s scary, you know? You hear about stuff coming from overseas, made with who-knows-what, and it can make your pet sick.
Eventually, I decided to go with a monkey toy called “Frisco SqueakyBeasties Maple the Monkey Dog Toy”. It wasn’t too expensive, and the reviews were pretty good. People said their dogs loved it, and it seemed to hold up well. Plus, it was described as having “safe, non-toxic fiberfill,” which put my mind at ease a bit.
When it arrived, my dog went nuts! He grabbed it and started shaking it like crazy, running around the house with the biggest doggy grin. It was hilarious to watch. He’s been playing with it non-stop, and it’s holding up pretty well so far. He seems to really enjoy the squeaker, and I like that it keeps him entertained and active.
I’m glad I took the time to find a good quality toy. It’s worth it to see my dog so happy and to know that he’s playing with something safe. If you’re looking for a new toy for your pup, I’d definitely recommend doing some research and reading reviews. It makes all the difference!
