Fishing Tree Ornaments: The Best Picks for Anglers!

So, I’ve been wanting to make some fishing tree ornaments for a while now. I thought it would be a fun little project, and it’s something I’ve never tried before. It’s time to get hands-on!

First things first, I headed online to see what kind of fishing-themed ornaments were already out there. I typed in some search words like “fishing tree ornament” and “fishing lure tree ornaments” and scrolled through the results. There are a bunch of cool and unique designs. Some folks are selling glass bass ornaments, others have these funny deer-themed ones. I even saw some that looked like antique fishing gear. I clicked some, but I didn’t buy it.

Materials

After getting some inspiration, I started gathering my materials. I decided to go with a simple design: a colorful fish dangling from a mini fishing rod. So I grabbed some:

• Colorful beads for the fish
• Some thin wire to shape the fish and make the fishing line
• Small dowels for the fishing rod
• A bit of string to hang the ornament
• Paint to decorate the rod and add details to the fish

Crafting the Ornaments

With everything in front of me, I started crafting. First, I painted the dowels to look like fishing rods, letting them dry completely. While those were drying, I started on the fish. I bent the wire into a fish shape and started stringing the beads onto it, making sure it looked colorful and fun. This part took a bit of time, but it was pretty relaxing.

Once the rods were dry, I attached the wire with the beaded fish to the end of the rod, making it look like the fish was caught on the line. Then I tied a loop of string to the other end of the rod so I could hang it on the tree.

The first one took a while to figure out, but once I got the hang of it, I made a few more. They turned out pretty good! Each one is a bit different, which I like. It’s cool to see how they all come together, and I think they’ll look great on the Christmas tree. I feel a real sense of accomplishment, even though they’re just simple little ornaments.
