Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… kong fish toy thing, ya know? My old man, bless his soul, he used to say a dog needs somethin’ to chew on, ‘cept his shoes, ha! So, this here kong thing, looks like a fish, I guess. Kids these days, they got all sorts of fancy names for things.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I seen a lot of dogs in my time. Big ones, small ones, yappy ones, lazy ones… they all like to chew. And if they ain’t chewin’ on somethin’ you give ’em, they gonna chew on somethin’ you don’t want ’em chewin’ on. That’s just plain common sense, ain’t it?
So, this fish toy, from what I hear, it’s made of rubber. Not that cheap stuff that falls apart, mind you. This is supposed to be the tough kind. The kind that can stand up to a good gnawin’. And that’s important, ya see? ‘Cause nobody wants to be buyin’ new toys every week. That’s just a waste of good money, and money don’t grow on trees, last time I checked.
And they say it’s safe, too. That’s another big thing. You don’t want your dog swallowin’ somethin’ that’s gonna make ’em sick. That’s just a heartache waiting to happen. So, if this kong toy is safe, like they say it is, well, that’s a good start.

And I heard tell you can even stuff treats in this fish toy. Now, that’s just clever. Like hidin’ a bone in a sock, only fancier. Keeps ’em entertained for hours, they say. And a tired dog is a good dog, that’s for sure.
Some folks, they even say the vets like these toys. Now, I ain’t seen a vet in years, thank the Lord, but I guess if they say it’s good, it probably is. They know more about these things than I do, that’s for sure. They say it helps with the chewin’ and keepin’ their teeth clean, somethin’ like that.
So, all in all, this kong fish toy, it sounds like it might be alright. Tough, safe, keeps ’em busy… what more could you want? Might be worth a try, I reckon. Especially if your dog’s like mine was, always lookin’ for somethin’ to get into. Just make sure you get the right size, ya know? Don’t want your little chihuahua tryin’ to chew on somethin’ bigger than his head.
And remember, watch your dog when they’re playin’ with any toy. Just in case. You can never be too careful, that’s what I always say. Better safe than sorry, that’s my motto.
