Okay, so, I wanted to make a cool live fish box. You know, like a little home for some fishy friends. I figured it’d be a fun project and add some life to my room.

First thing I did was think about what kind of fish I wanted. I’m no fish expert, so I did some looking around. Found out that some fish are way easier to take care of than others. Like, there are these fish called white cloud minnows, cherry barbs, and some others like goldfish, guppies, neon tetras, and cory catfish. All of these guys are pretty chill and don’t need a ton of space. They seemed like the perfect roommates, so I picked a few of those, just a mix to keep things interesting.
Next up, the tank. I needed to find one that was just right for my new buddies. Not too big, not too small. I mean, I’m not running a fish hotel here, just a cozy spot for a few pals. I hit up a local pet store and looked at a bunch of different tanks. I picked one that I thought was perfect and looked good in my room. They had some cool plants and decorations, so I grabbed a few of those too. I mean the fish need some furniture, right?
Setting Up the Tank
Getting the tank ready was the next big step. I put some gravel at the bottom, filled it up with water, and added a filter. A friend told me you gotta let the water sit for a bit before putting the fish in, so I did that. Waited a couple of days, actually. Just wanted to make sure everything was perfect.
- Put the gravel in.
- Fill it with water.
- Add the filter.
- Wait a few days.
Then came the fun part – adding the fish! I carefully put them in their new home, and watched them swim around. They seemed pretty happy, exploring their new digs. It was so cool watching them, all colorful and lively.
Now, I just gotta keep the tank clean and feed them regularly. It’s not too much work, and it’s totally worth it. I love having them around. It’s like having a little piece of nature right in my room. Plus, watching them swim is super relaxing. Best decision ever!
