I saw a lot of dogs getting hurt around their faces lately, so I figured I should do something about it. I got online and did some digging around for a “dog face protector” thingy.
Turns out, there are these things that are like a mesh mask for dogs. They cover the eyes and nose and have a strap that goes around the neck. I ordered one online. The one I got had a few parts: a rainbow cap, a gray net, and a clip. It was simple enough to put together. I just had to clip the net to the cap.
- First, I grabbed the rainbow cap.
- Then, I took the gray mosquito net thing.
- Lastly, I used the clip buckle to connect them.
The whole thing is adjustable, so I could make it fit my dog’s head perfectly. The net is soft, so it doesn’t bother him too much. The cap part is like a regular baseball cap, but with the net attached. It helps keep the sun out of his eyes, too.
Putting it on my dog
Getting it on my dog was a bit of a struggle at first. He wasn’t too sure about it. I started by putting the cap on his head. Then, I gently placed the net over his face. I made sure it wasn’t too tight and that he could breathe okay. Finally, I fastened the strap around his neck using the Velcro. I adjusted it at the neck and the sides, so it is secure but not too tight, he can take it off when he really tries.
He seems to like it, though. He doesn’t try to take it off, and he’s been able to run around and play just fine with it on. It definitely gives me peace of mind knowing his face is protected, and I am sure he would appreciate that.
I also found out they make full-body raincoats for dogs. They cover them from head to tail. I might have to get one of those, too, just in case.
It’s a simple thing, but it makes a big difference. If you have a dog, I definitely recommend looking into something like this. You won’t regret it, trust me.
