Okay, here is my sharing about using dog teeth cleaning gel:

So, I’ve got this dog, a real good boy, and like all dogs, he’s got those doggy teeth. I noticed his breath was getting a bit, uh, funky. Figured it was time to do something about his dental hygiene. My friend told me about this teeth-cleaning gel thing for dogs, and I thought, why not give it a shot?
First off, I did a little digging around to see what this stuff was all about. Found out that dogs, just like us, get baby teeth first and then get their adult teeth later. Makes sense, right? Then I realized I needed to start taking care of his teeth more seriously. I got a little worried when I read that a lack of dental care is bad for your dog.
I went and bought this dog teeth cleaning gel. The instructions were pretty simple: use it once a day. It said to just put a couple of drops on each side of his mouth. Easy enough, I thought.
The first time I tried it, it was a bit of a struggle. My dog was not thrilled. He kept trying to lick it off before I could even get it in the right spot. But I persisted. I used the old “good boy” and some treats to keep him calm. Positive reinforcement, you know?
- Tried to be patient.
- Used treats as a distraction.
- Managed to get the gel on his teeth eventually.
After a few days, he got used to it. He’d still lick his lips a lot afterward, but I guess that’s how it’s supposed to work, spreading the gel around. The instructions said that’s how it coats all the surfaces of the teeth and gums.
Now, I’m trying to do it at least three times a week. I read somewhere that’s a good goal for keeping dog teeth clean, although daily is best. The main thing is, his breath is definitely better! It’s not minty fresh or anything, but it’s a big improvement. I’m also hoping this means fewer problems with his teeth and gums in the long run. It’s way better than having to deal with serious dental issues later on. I’m also planning on asking my vet about professional cleanings the next time I take my dog in, just to make sure I’m doing everything I can for his dental health.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with dog teeth cleaning gel. It’s a bit of work, but it seems to be worth it. Just gotta be consistent and patient. And don’t forget the treats! They really help.
