I came across a little problem the other day with my dog, Buster. He’s a good boy, but he’s been looking a little thin lately, not his usual bouncy self. So, I started thinking, what could I do to help him put on some weight? I remembered reading somewhere about something called Dyne, and I decided to look into it. So, I searched online for “what is dyne for dogs”.

So, I started reading. Apparently, Dyne is this high-calorie liquid supplement thing. It’s supposed to be good for dogs who need to gain weight, or for working dogs who burn a lot of energy, or even picky eaters. I read that it’s got a sweet vanilla flavor, which sounded like something Buster might like. He does have a sweet tooth, that one!
Then, I did some more digging. I found out that Dyne is packed with all sorts of good stuff, like vitamins and these things called “essential nutrients.” It’s also got a lot of calories, which is exactly what Buster needed. I thought, “This could be it!”
- I learned that you’re supposed to give about half a teaspoon per pound of body weight once a day for a dog who is not active.
- I also learned that if your dog is active, underweight, senior, pregnant or lactating, you should double the dosage.
- Then, I learned that it is important to keep your dog on their current diet to prevent digestive upset when you start to use it.
So, I went ahead and bought some. When it arrived, I followed the instructions on the label. It said to give half a teaspoon per pound of body weight once a day. Buster’s about 60 pounds, so I measured out the right amount and mixed it into his food. He seemed to like it! Licked the bowl clean, he did. After a few days, I started to notice a difference. He seemed to have more energy, and he was starting to fill out a bit. It wasn’t a huge change overnight, but it was definitely an improvement.
I kept giving him the Dyne every day, and after a couple of weeks, he was looking much better. He was back to his old self, running around and playing like a pup again. It was such a relief to see him healthy and happy. I also tried switching his food to one with more calories and protein, like that Purina ONE SmartBlend True Instinct, it seemed to help even more.
Conclusion
All in all, I’d say Dyne worked out pretty well for Buster. It helped him gain weight, and it seemed to give him more energy. Of course, every dog is different, so what worked for Buster might not work for every dog. But if your dog needs to gain some weight, I’d say it’s worth looking into Dyne. Just remember to read the instructions carefully and keep an eye on your furry friend. But for us, it was a lifesaver!
